A club friend of mine just purchased his first Lionel Engine... 6-84685 the Legacy PE with BT. He's new to Legacy. This engine was running fine until he attempted to run it without the tender hooked up. Now it will run all day long in Bluetooth, but not with Legacy. The cab light AND the headlight are blinking, one blink every 2 seconds. He deleted the engine from his new 990, put the engine in program mode and tried to re add the engine. It will not whistle to confirm programming. It will not operate in Legacy. However, if he pulls out his phone, the engine operates normally in BT mode.
My only guess is that he has to disconnect the pairing of his phone before attempting to program it back into his Legacy base. Anyone run into this? I'm dropping by his place to troubleshoot this afternoon.
