Picked up all 8 of these beauties today from my local hobby shop, Patrick’s Trains.
Perfect out of the box!

Very nice, Dave. Thanks for sharing. The red interior seating looks nice and "rich" with the brown exterior car bodies and gold trim -- much nicer than the bland beige interior that almost has an "unfinished" look to it.
David
I see that Charlie Ro is sold out on one of the Two packs already! and here I thought these cars would be around a while like the
89' autoracks and 86' autoparts boxcars!
Why do two of the cars have full width diaphragms only on one end? Not having a catalog nearby, were these two cars supposed to be run as a set with the full width diaphragms together?

They're sold as a 2-pack together... intended to be the StationSounds Diner along with a Kitchen Car. So yes, the full-width diaphragms should run back-to-back.
very nice cars think I'll have to buy some now

Thanks Dave. That is what I thought. Hint, hint!!!
Realized those two cars were backwards after I shot the video. Fixed! Thanks for the heads up!
Dave, you aren't the first nor the last. Also, many don't know that the one end is a full width "Diaphragm", thinking that it needs another narrow diaphragm like on the other end.
A number of years ago I tried to explain this to the folks at Weaver. They didn't listen!
PRR started putting on these new cars in 1948. New paint configuration, and square-end observation car.
NICE'. I like the female announcers voice. A very nice new touch'... Good looking set for sure'....... Enjoy'..
