Thanks for all the nice comments. I bought this engine about 7 years ago. Loved the sound but wanted 4 chuff per revolution and better smoke. That is when I was introduced to Alex who changed the chuffs and upgraded the smoke unit. The only issue I had was the smoke was a fan driven unit and it looked like a volcano when sitting on the layout. Alex said lets try a chug n puff board but the first one he installed did not really work all that well. Then John in invented the super chuff board and you can see the results.

Alex also talked me into upgrading my avatar, that is Lizzy in my picture with me.

Thanks for the videos of the upgraded PRR Mountain.   I have owned my PRR M1a since new probably 7 or 8 years ago and it's very compelling to invest in these upgrades.

    Alex M would be your man for the upgrade, he does great work. Check his profile for his email address and send him a note. He upgraded the smoke outut, 4 chuffs per revolution and puffing smoke. He is a heck of a nice guy too.

    He has done my J1, Y3 both PRR as well as a Lacawanna Mogul. All run, sound and smoke great.
