Got out Lionel Sante Fe 2-19-10-2 for a run today.Looked everywhere! Does anyone know what thsim part is for.It was in small bag and came with the Sante Fe in the foam protector.I have inspected the whole locomotive and cannot find where these fit.Are they marker posts?Appreciate any help.Al

According to the Lionel parts listing for the 6-11155 locomotive, these are the optional front piston guides. I would think that there are threaded holes in the front of the front pistons for these to screw into. I would also believe that these can only be used on either very large radius curves, or if the locomotive is only used for display, as often these tend to restrict movement of the pilot truck.
