Lionel Vision PENNSLVANIA 0-8-8-0 CC2 Boiler Removal & Parts

A Lionel tech can get those parts.  I work on many of those engines and get the parts.  Lionel did this on some Vision items.   What you posted are the two parts I use the most.  The engine comes  apart very easy.  You do not need to worry as the parts can be had if you know a certified tech.

Removing the boiler is not too difficult, but try replacing the traction tires!

John, that locomotive has sprung drivers.  With a little work the best way is to drop the wheel set out, do the tires and put the wheels back in.  They sure picked the worst driver to put those tires on.  Not a fun job, you are correct.

I didn't replace them yet, just looked at it and thought WHAT A PITA that was going to be!  How exactly do you drop the wheelset?

I dislike giving "crash" courses, that usually ends up costing someone money!   But I'm always in for an adult beverage.

I changed them once. I rather sell the engine then do it again. But Marty is right .Thats  how I did mine the little springs are fun ..  This engine and the 2-10-10-2 didn't have fee rolling drive trains .
