Maersk Rail Operations | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

I have been wondering about Maersk's rail operations for a while now. I've tried looking it up but I haven't found a reliable source yet. Can someone explain to me where Maersk operated trains and why they don't anymore?

To my knowledge, Maersk was a huge shipper, and was never a railroad nor operated any trains. Being such a big customer, some railroads even painted up some of their diesel units, and then took fancy publicity photos, i.e the Santa Fe and NS.

What hot water said! Maersk did not operate any rail service but rather several of the big rail roads painted their units for the PR.
