Can you post a single pic of it ? What was the original car ? Any pix of the build process ??? Sure be nice to see the build in stages.
I ask as no train manufacturer offers (in O Gauge) a transfer caboose. Sure they vary a lot from road to road but with nothing out there, who would care 🤔

Transfer cabooses or cabeese are interesting articles, I purchased one at our last S Fest in Milwaukee, of course Milwaukee road. Yes the different roads all had their own ideas for the layout, this is very similar to mine copied from (Waukesha County Gandy Dancers) website.

Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures during the building process.  The only ones I have are during the painting stages.

I started out with a Lionel PS-1 40' boxcar.  I modified the frame to remove the mounting posts.  The body is made of styrene sheet.  The roof is from an Atlas O extended vision caboose.  It was cut and spliced to fit the body.  Handrails are brass wire with stanchions made from Plastruct I-Beam material. I will have to dig out my build notes to refresh my memory on other detail parts...it was 10 years ago

Beautiful work and model. I can even learn without build pictures just hearing how you pulled all those different elements/parts together. Cool !!!!

I don't normally have too much for "Midwest Monday" but today, due to an acquisition at the TCA convention, my "tank a-holic" interests intersected with the Midwest.  I found this really nice Lionel # 26120 Kansas City Southern 3 dome tanker at the TCA convention last weekend.  It's really a premium car with die cast trucks and frame and fully sprung trucks.  It was manufactured in 2000 so now its going on 23 years old and I expect it was part of one of Lionel's better sets as these premium cars didn't often get sold as single's but I am not aware of the set.  So here is my Lionel KCS 3 D tank car  from Y2K!

Here is the KCS logo end showing both the (fictional) KCS car number and the Lionel # 26120 at the bottom

Hmmmm. Kinda slow with “Midwest Monday”. More like lately “Midwest Moan-day”.
So. Just to try to re- jump start the thread, here’s my small contribution - a bit yard centric.
All Midwest except DRG “hook”.  T&P = MP subsidiary.

It's summer 1969.  A short Penn Central passenger train led by a single ex-PRR E8 blasts through the Main Street crossing:

Well its a new Monday and I am trying to help keep our "Midwest Monday" going, thanks last week to TrainBub and Tom Densel.  I don't have too much but here are a few cars for this week.

First is an American Flyer #1228 Sinclair tank car from 1937.  The Sinclair Oil Company was founded in 1916 and has their headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Next are two tankers from Texaco Oil.  Texaco was founded in 1901 with their HQ in Beaumont, Texas.  Remember the jingle..."You can trust your car to the man who wears the star" from the 1950's.

The # 231 from 1939 and the x-1126 from 1937 (about).

Finally, a classic Midwest RR, the Illinois Central or the "Main Line of Mid-America".  The Lionel (MPC) #9200 IC boxcar from 1970-71.

Well not too strong a response but its the best I could come up with today.

I spent some weekend time prepping my MP and T&P fleet (upgrading to scale pilot with Kaydee coupler) for the upcoming Golden Gate Depot MP, T&P Texas Eagle. The MP E6 is ready with closed pilot too. Yet to finish is MP Alco PA.

what inspired me to buy the set with intention to run with/behind my 765 steamer.

Something like this.

Atlas Wisconsin Central SD35  waiting an assignment. This arrived the other day, very impressed with the level of detail and sound quality of the horn. Just an old 2001 TMCC engine barely run. Of course the first thing I did was pop off one of the brake lines on a truck as I was removing it from the box. Nothing broken thank goodness.

@Rayin"S"  looks like you are quite a Milwaukee Road fan,  any highlights quintessentially MR in your opinion? 

I had to go look up that word, I wish there was more Milw. Rd. available in S gauge, me being Flyer/highrail it's pretty scarce in motive power. Locomotives generally need to be custom painted. The FAs posted last week I painted, needed to do that as Milw. Rd. never had those. Have some more MR, will show in the future. Do have some UP, MP, and CNW to share.

Well, if we are talking about the "Midwest" how about the Monon RR, which from 1897 to 1971 operated entirely within the state of Indiana.  Here are a few Monon items from Mr. Marx.

First the #81 Marx Monon  ABA engine from 1955-56 and 1958-59 (A units) with the B unit available 1958-59 only.  Engine was available as both electric and clockwork, this one is electric.
