MTH 2016 Volume 2 predictions and hopes

So the ink is barely dry from the new catalog. Not an impressive catalog IMHO, I was kind of hoping they bring some different items out. One request that I hope will happen is the quiling Whistle in Railking Steamers. Why pay an extra 400-700 dollars for a scale version when the Railing version looks just as good and has similar sound sets? My hope is they take the consideration of putting a quilling Whistle in the Railking model Steamers and bring different and new stuff. It should not be acceptable that you have a version of it sell it and buy a newer one and loose money in the process. I have more of the Proto 2.0 versions and have no intention of upgrading.

I've never seen a railking engine that looks as good as the premier version.  The premiers usually have much more detail and overall more prototypical appearance.
 
Which railking steamer were you referring to?

In every new MTH catalog, I go to the European section and look for a TGV set...even though MTH has shown no recent interest in investing in new tooling.  A guy's gotta have hope.

 

Well, the 2016 Volume 1 catalog doesn't have a TGV set.  So, here's hoping there's one in the 2016 Volume 2 catalog.
