MTH DC-3 Track Inspection Car

I just noticed that this has been reissued in Long Island livery. These cars were apparently converted from gas electrics

by Sperry Rail Service, so when I have looked at them, I have wondered if anybody has kitbashed one back into a two

truck gas electric?
