I don't understand the moving delivery date.......I work in another hobby that manufactures product in China.  Yes....we have delays....but as soon as we sign off on the final test round, have all art turned in and approved we get a production date and a projected date product will be stateside. Once we have the production date and all items are OK'd we never miss a date by more than a week or two.....sometimes we are even early!!! (dealers hate this just as much BTW) Sounds like MTH is just hoping on delivery dates.....but it's much better to wait for firm dates from my experience.

Makes you wonder when the official order was placed by MTH.....????  I had one hobby shop owner tell me that he has had quite a few cancellations of items because folks get tired of waiting and find something else to spend their money on...and some have waited YEARS after they placed their order.  I wonder what the longest time it has taken for a train item to be delivered after it was offered....???

When Mike Wolf was here last week this was a topic.  Mike stated with the change from PS-2 to PS-3 the lighting in the lead unit changed to LEDs.  The train was originally designed for incandescent lighting.  With the LEDs in the lead unit and incandescent in the rest it was an UNACCEPTABLE look!  So they had to redesign for LEDs in the entire train.  Thus the delay.

But Mike affirmed that the Turbo Train will be shipping.

I see that MTH now shows shipping in October.  So if shipping from overseas in late August then ship domestically in October sounds about right.
