Losing my Dad last November was a terrible shock.He was into real and model trains his whole life and was a big influence in my train enthusiasm.His favorite model trains were G scale.I had to make a G scale model of him from a picture to remember him by,not that he is ever forgotten.

That is a cool tribute! Very nice.
My dad wasn't into trains but did encourage me. He liked sprint cars so whenever I see one, I always think of him. I buy Stauffer Chem. train cars because he worked there for thirty some years until it closed. Seeing the tank cars roll in and out of the plant as a kid, is what got me into trains.

I lost my own railfan father last month. He passed his enthusiasm for railroading along to me. Like you, I was privileged to have shared such a special bond with my father. Whenever you and I think trains, we'll think of our Dads. You and I are both very fortunate in this regard.
