Before I met my father-in-law I would have said the UP and SP.  My older brother, when babysitting me, would take me out to see the trains (UP on one side of town, the SP on the other).  Loved those colorful and big engines.

Then I met my father-in-law.  As a soldier and later a senior manager for Detroit's motor pool, he traveled a lot on the Pennsylvania Railroad (Pennsy).  His HO layout was Pennsy based, and he would tell lots of tales on riding it, as well as the road's history.  After 30 years of listening to his stories, I became a Pennsy fan.
