Just got them back from Lionel. Neither the pot nor the keypad are able to raise or lower the volume. Have tried reset as well without success. Any ideas?
Hate to send them back there again.
Thanks!

I would remove the cab and unseat/reseat the Railsounds and associated power board.
Tried Aux 1 plus 1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1 ?
Sadly way more times that I can count Richie! We were praying that would be our way out.
The exact Lionel model would be useful here.
With an unresponsive pot, perhaps the little 3-pin JST-ZH harness from the potentiometer to the RSL card is disconnected. If it is a Legacy engine under warrantly, I am assuming that you have an RSL sound card. I don't think you would have separate Railsounds and power boards with headers that could be reseated. If you are comfortable doing so without voiding your warranty, I would recommend that you carefully remove the shell and specifically check that harness.
If the pot is unplugged, you get very low or no volume. In addition, if you're hearing anything, the remote control of volume should still work.
John, the inoperative sound pot is in 6-85201 and the other pair is 1922490. The sound is so soft on both of them it's drowned out by other engines, including the B's. They have to be at least twice the volume. Greg, they both were received a week ago. One brand new, the other after getting the cabs exchanged.
Have you determined it's the pot? If so, you can tie two pins together and you'll get full volume.
Just on an outside chance.....could your 1 button on the Cab-2 keypad be bad? Can you raise and lower volume remotely still on other locos?
