Trains running everywhere in and out of the house. No wife would put up with this, so he cannot be married. Checkout the Christmas lights under the bed! I didn't see any tracks in the bathroom?
"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.
Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Sorry, but this guy IS married. http://www.jimzim.net/jim.html
I could tell he is married by how clean the carpet is
I'm amazed that more than 5% of the folks here are married
From a technical perspective, I saw a couple reverse loops, and never saw any wires. My guess is he's doing dead rail.
As for the bathroom, I know a guy whose trains cut through a bathroom. Though the wall over the vanity and toilet tank and out the other side.

I am, but she knew what she was getting into before she married me. I have her well trained.
This was just last week, trying out the new Bluetooth.

Why?
We have to do something when the trains aren't running.
My wife has no issues with my trains. She may have not known completely what she was getting into when we got married, but we are happy because we both know what's really important in life. Besides, by letting me have trains at the house, she always knows where I am.
Bobby (sniff) that man is an inspiration to all of us (sniff).

.
In a reply to a comment near the bottom, the owner states it's track power:
"The power goes through the tracks. The power supply can be seen when the train makes the turn from out of the hallway and heads towards the back door."

And here we thought O gauge took up space!!
My guess is it's only a temporary layout unless that guy lives where there are never storms, he's got a bunch of doorways blocked!

So, where's the problem?
Re: Reverse loops...
Likely an automated reversing circuit. You can see what appears to be a unit at 5:55...
Re: Diesel vs Steam...
I absolutely enjoyed riding along with that steam train beginning about the 5:00 mark. Loved the sound system and the whistle. The Congdon-type stack didn't hurt either. Riding along on that little train was far more interesting than a diesel droning along. (And I like diesels, too.)

He says that in his responses to some of the comments. It's a temporary thing. He mentioned it was actually his wife's idea, and that yard area is where their dining room table normally is. IIRC, he says it's like that for maybe a few days at a time when he decides to do this.

My friend, this is difficult to explain. But some people just don't enjoy being in Paradise.
I don't think I could sell my house for enough to buy all that track, much less the trains.

Mine no only knew what she was getting into, she also signed a prenuptial that she could be replaced and not the trains. Also I do not believe in divorce I believe in elimination. Still going strong together after 36 years. Best thing I ever did was to marry her.
Jim and his wife are really cool people. They mostly video blog about their Cruise/vacation adventures.
Check out his YouTube channel. A fun life they are living.
Id love that!! So cool!
I am flabbergasted! Jim Zim has a fantastic lady that lets him turn the house into a layout. I bet she is in the 1/10th of 1% of wives / significant others who would allow this behavior. Great going Jim! Keep the videos coming.
Of course I am married ... someone has to work hard enough to pay for all these toys...

Agreed
Trains and wives aren't easily compatible
Mine, well... she's constantly screeching, and always has a problem with something.
Though I've loved her for about two years now, and nothing could ever get between me and her....
("Her" being my 257, hehe)
Miggy, I gotta' know...
Did you really wash that Thomas engine is your dishwasher? And what happened if you did?
