A friend is thinking about getting into G-scale trains, and he found onlytrains.com. G-scale isn't my area of expertise, and I had not heard of onlytrains.
Can anyone provide feedback about them?

A few data points:
I bought a like-new LGB Forney locomotive from Tom.
It cost about 20% more than those available on eBay, even after discount.
Bought from Tom anyway because he seemed like a solid guy who stands behind the sale, and he is.
After the sale, Tom sent me some free things (better electrical connectors and magnets to make train whistle) to facilitate a better overall experience for my children.
Highly Recommended.

Bought once or twice from onlytrains with no problems. Your friend could also try Trainworld.com and rhinelandtrains.com. They seem to have the best prices overall and both are great to deal with.
If your friend is looking to purchase LGB &/or HLW trains, then onlytrains.com does have some reasonable prices. If they are looking for other trains/accessories my suggestion is to give Robby at RLD Hobbies a call. Look at the web site: rldhobbies.com Then give Robbie a call and ask him for his BEST price on the items your friend is interested in.

I'll add my recommendation for Onlytrains. I have purchased from them several times.
My experience has been that they have items in stock that other dealers don't have, and their prices are as good as or lower than other dealers.
Definitely recommend, Tom does great job.
