"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Hi!  In going through more of my late father's collection, putting aside the trains I'm hanging onto for my collection, I found something that I remember my dad always hunting for, and finally finding after a long search: the Penn Line Crusader.  Now, I know he had the one out of the box, but I think he has another in original box.

I'll try to post photos soon, but does anyone know what the estimated values would be for these?  I may let one go so that it would be a little more money for my mom and oldest brother to have if needed (we've been slowly selling parts of the collection as I go through it to keep what I want).

Any information on the Crusader that they made would be appreciated!

The Penn Line Crusader is certainly one of the rare birds of the Penn Line offerings.  It was also the most difficult one to assemble.  As a result, values are all over the place based on condition, quality of build if built, if it was partially built and abandoned, and if it is complete with all the parts.  Posting pictures would be helpful to assess a specific one.

That is a beauty! Is it HO?

Thank you!  Yep, this is HO scale, made by Penn Line.  Apparently, around 200 were made to be sold, but it depends on how it was built and painted by the person who got it that determines some of the value.

It's pretty scarce, at any rate.  This was my dad's, and I remember him telling me how much he was looking for one.  Then when I was in my late teens, he finally found one and didn't hesitate in buying it.

But now, not seeing it anywhere much online, I'm trying to find out the idea of value.
