I am trying to find any plans to build, cut out, construct a 4x8 layout table but I want to have a arched bridge front to it. Much like the bridge work in the Polar Express. I'm sure it just plywood that is cut out and nailed to the table framing. Any of you out there have any INTEL on this???

make a template and trace it onto the plywood. A scroll saw should do the rest.

Well yes, but that is for the layout....I'm trying to do the table framing under the layout to look like that. Lionel did there display tables that had a green looking bridge arch under it..but that is a great idea
TW Trainworx utilizes arches for some of their layouts.
That's the ticket.....now to do that myself Thanks
Dougie,
Dunham Studios has a CNC cutter that can make those also. I wouldn't want to manually cut out all of the sections. Call TW Trainworx for price. Dunham, also.
This one's in Trainland in Lynbrook NY if you want to see it in person.

I just got off the phone with Trainworx's.. They sent me the order forms and I will see just what they would charge me for the fronts only. I'll try Dunham also.
Keep us posted; seems like a really nice way to dress up a modest (or not so modest!) layout.
