My 2012 PS3 RK Amtrak Dash 8 operates fine in DCS and Conventional. My issue, if it is even an issue, is that the sound will hold the settings from conventional mode in DCS and a feature reset is required, or pressing the master volume +/- buttons to reset the full volume in DCS. Is this some sort of PS3 feature or could it be an engine issue? No other issues with my other PS3 engine or PS2 engine. I though, at least with PS2, that the DCS settings would hold in conventional, not the other way around. Hope this is clear...Thanks!

Hope this is clear.
No, it really isn't.
How are you changing the sound level in conventional mode?
Barry,
Sorry I wasn't clear...I'll try again.
1) Engine volume adjusted from 100 (out of the box) to about 30 or 40 for all sounds via sound menu and thumbwheel.
2) Put on conventional loop, sound is a bit loud so I turn it down via the pot underneath the engine. Engine runs as should, I have fun.
3) I eventually put it back on DCS loop and sounds are no longer at the level set via the remote prior to conventional running but at the conventional level. If using the thumbwheel to raise volume back to 100 on all levels, volume does not go up very far, even at level 100, a feature reset or pressing master volume up key resolves issue and back to normal 100% volume.
4) Go back into sound menu and reduce sound back to 30 or 40% and run trains.
Is it only this one engine or other PS2/PS3 engines, as well?
If it's just this engine, the issue is possibly a defective sound or chain file for the engine.
Only this one engine in particular, at least I haven't noticed any others do it. It is going in for repair soon for a non-related issue so I'll ask my guy to check it out.
