"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

As a "knowledge baseline" I have a post war Lionel O set w/ a mix of post war and MPC-era rolling stock, Bachmann HO sets and a Bachmann G Scale Big Hauler and Trolley set...

I just picked up the following at an estate sale:

Aristocraft 2-8-0 Locomotive and Tender.  The locomotive seems heavy.  Don't know if this is an indication of quality.

There's a switch on the rear of the boiler.  Does this control smoke?  sound?  light?

The tender electrically connects to the locomotive.  Is this for sound or?

Are there couplers/adapters available that will allow the LGB Christmas car to lash to the tender?

Overall impressions?  In the grand scheme, how are these regarded?

The tether leading to the tender is for the sound. The switch on the engine controls the smoke unit I believe.  Just a word of warning; do not try pushing the loco by hand as you will only strip the gears. Parts used to be cheap but I have no idea as to availability these days.  I have a couple of these locomotives and they run quite well
