Signal sounds but No Railsounds

Look for a switch "SS-RS". Move it to RS.

You might have checked this but is the Railsounds switch set to on under the tender?  Page 8 of the manual.

Thanks for the suggestions.  One of the first things I checked was the R/S & S/S switch in both positions  in case it was wired wrong. I also  noticed I  can get whistle or bell in either position.

Did you try a feature reset? Might be worth a shot if you haven't.  Maybe carefully reseat the boards.

The RS/SS selects Signal Sounds when the switch is closed.  So it sounds like either you have a short in the wiring or something is amiss with the actual RailSounds board.  Have you tried swapping another board in?  You can try any diesel of steam RailSounds 4 or 5 board to see if the wiring is suspect or it's the board.  If the new board still only gets Signal Sounds, you have a wiring issue.  If the new board does full RailSounds, the original board is probably bad.
