I have to share my favorite locomotive ever!

The Circus fits the GP30 body!
Well,,,,,,,to each his own, I guess. I began my career with EMD in June 1962, delivering GP30 units, first to the N&W, then to the B&O. Obviously you have never had to work on a GP30, even though they do look "different".

LOL!
Yes, the GP30 was not one of EMD's better ideas. Sort of like the SD50.
From a performance and maintenance point of view, they just weren't very good locomotives.

Interesting to learn about the actual functions, seem like my favorite bus the Vista Scenic cruiser which was mostly hated by operators.
OK so how about this, my favorite Livery! paint scheme I loved to see when a young teen.

OK then. Back when I was a "young teen", i.e. mid 1950s, my favorite paint scheme was Central RR of New Jersey, DL&W and Erie. Why? Because I grew up in central New Jersey.
When I was a "young teen" it would have been 1982. New Jersey Transit just became official and the disco stripes were brand new. Otherwise it was a mix of NJ DOT Blue, Red & Silver, PC Black, and rust. Why? Because I grew up in central New Jersey too! Just 30 years later than Jack.
I saw my first WM circus scheme locomotive around 1975 when the WM still went to my father's home town of Waynesboro, PA. It was chop nose GP9.
The EMD 35 series was not much better...
Anything with the word Pennsylvania on it.
