"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Starting working on my new HO layout.  Had to build a connecting bridge across the narrow middle portion of the benchwork(needed to access the shelves for my G and O gauge).  One of my road units needed 22" radius curves as it is a 6 axle SD70.     I have two IC "death star" units, a SD70 and a GP40, the flip theme is the Susquehana, with a pair of C430's.  I also have an odd ball GP35 that I am not sure what to do with yet as neither road had them.  All but the GP40 are Overland Models brass, 2 are factory painted and will be off to a pro painter in a couple months or so when my slot in his que opens up.  The twin spurs at the rear will service a large grain elevator.  I have two extensions, one is up the other is planned.  One side will have an engine service area, the other will feature some street trackage to the brew house that the Susquehanna switches that the engines barely fit inside the building.   The GP35 is an early import from Overland with a noisy tank drive, so a retruck with newer tower drive trucks is planned.  Enjoy the pics.   Mike the Aspie

They are as an E hobby shop with plastic and consignment brass, but Brian exited the brass importing business about the same time as Ajin vanished as a builder.   Division Point has assumed importing diesel models, but most are built by Boo Rim in South Korea now I believe.   When six axle diesels went north of $600, the last runs were near 1K or more for them, the market died.  The Krauss Maffei's from Division Point were around $1500 a model.  Way beyond the reach of most modelers.   OMI diesels, most of them, can be had for really good prices these days if you shop around.  I gave $225 for the C430 from a dealer, and $200 for the SD70 at train show.  I also scored a PFM/GOM brass caboose for $18 at the same show!  Now is the time to add a brass model to your stable if you ever desired one.  Brasstrains.com has thier spring sale going one.  Lots of great deals, such as a factory painted ATSF GE 8-40BW in superfleet warbonnet for $221 on sale!
