It’s an HO layout but this video transports me back in time.
"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.
Post your non-O scale stuff here!

Alan Keller, producer of the Great Model Railroads DVD's did one on this layout. Agreed that it is spectacular. lt was not complete when he did his video, and I see from this one, it was still not finished. Love to see one produced if it is now further along.
Do, watch this video, however is you like spectacularly done scenery and urban scenes.
I've grown up and lived in Southern California all my life. The scenery on this layout is perfect. Wow! Many of the areas still look very similar today, but some (sadly) have changed considerably. Thank you for sharing this.
I would have liked to have seen more of the station featured, which if I'm not mistaken is the one in San Bernardino. The station still stands, the shops moved to Barstow.. San Bernardino was my hometown and it captured the station and shops very well. I recall a very tall smoke stack next to the roundhouse/shops ( not depicted?) and the Mt. Vernon Ave. overpass ( which is shown).
As a kid I remember hearing the Santa Fe shop whistle blasting away telling the whole town to start the day. It could be heard all over the valley.. You could set your watch to it.
My father in law and brother in law were life long Santa Fe employees. It was a great time growing up in Southern California.

“Perfect” says it all. I also grew up in SoCal, Orange County. Thanks for the comment.
Since this is about an HO layout, then it should be in the HONGZ forum....I have moved it.
Thanks! Great video!
The depot shown in the video is the San Bernardino depot. He built that and offered it in kit form for a while. Great build and it reflects the Cajon pass area quite well.
Gary's SoCal themed layout shown in the video is gone. I toured his new under construction layout during the 2022 NMRA convention in St. Louis in August. His new layout is in a new house and is based on the Norfolk & Western. His eastern scenery is just as great as his western scenery. NH Joe
