My wife and I kept wondering if he might jump on top of the train! We have two sweet cats, Red (orange tabby),14 and Lucy (black tabby), 9. Both are rescue cats.

Ah yes -- Catzilla!
I don't have a layout, but I'm presuming I'll have issues keeping the cats off of it when I build one -- indoors or out. One cat, the late Bushwhack got curious about an MTH steam switcher I was charging and I practically had to pull him off the ceiling when it made a blow-down sound while he was inspecting it. My other cats seem to be undeterred by locomotive horns, bells or crew talk, so I'm anticipating they'll be sleeping on the layout and will refuse to move.
Our cat and my buddy, the late Max, used to think the tunnel system was his personal hut! Cats do the strangest things.

Should someone tell the cat that it's not his/her bridge?
Seems to think it is?
That was great. Loved it.
Loved that video. I liked it when the cat actually pushed at the front of the loco. We're down to one cat now and that lady likes to go into the tunnel and just sleep away a part of the day. A fellow train man has a camera mounted on a flat car that he ran around the layout one day. He was totally amazed as he watched the tv screen and saw the cat. Now the cat was a bit freaked because SHE now had to exit the tunnel which meant going by the fellow with the equipment......... an intruder. A few tense but laughable seconds for everyone. Cats are great as are trains. Chessie is around here somewhere.
Train ON,

That is a fearless cat. Our dog won't even come into the living room when I'm running a little train around the Christmas tree.

The passenger silhouettes must have been terrified.
Fearless, you say? My cat, Red, once jumped in front of my Brute and its four showroom car consist (about 80 pounds of steel!) and I was able to push him out of the way at the last second!
Cats especially like model railroad tunnels and bridges to hunker down inside these structures. They can be fearless like the cat in the poster's video, and not be very intimidated by even a large LGB Swiss electric loco almost as large as him! Gotta admire them!
Great video, animals make life interesting and enjoyable, they do things that cost us nothing and is natural for them to do it.
That is one CUTE cat in that video! :-)
Wow, can't stop giggling, what a great little video!
