I recently received the 2nd edition of the LGB Kompendium for my 76th birthday. This very nice two volume hardbound edition is very nearly the most complete compilation of LGB products produced to date. The text is German and my year and a half of college level German helps. The first volume covers locos and sets, while the second larger volume covers passenger and freight cars. Accessories and control units are not included. The value amounts are listed in both DM and Euros, but NOT US dollars. The item descriptions are thorough and the dates of production are given. One of the volumes covers the catalogs and the Depesche publication, but NOT the English language Telegram. I am primarily an operator of mainly original LGB and I find this reference work useful to check on items in my collection. The retail price for the Kompendium is $95 plus shipping (weight is about seven pounds), but in my opinon well worth the price! Even if you are only an "armchair" collector, you will likely enjoy perusing the many color photo/text entries in this fine reference work! I acquired my LGB Kompendium from TRAIN LI in Reno, NV.
