I just finished building and installing switch machines and a touch toggle control panel to operate them on my 3'x19' switching layout. Attached are a few pictures. The switch machines are Tortoise and the touch toggle conponents are by Berrett Hill Trains.

One point about your control panel shown in this image:
Keep the buttons on the straight tracks, but you only need a single button (operating two switch machines) to set the crossover to the crossing route.
You would never align switch 1 to the diverging route without also throwing switch 3 to its diverging route. Same for switches 2 and 5.
