Trains from France question

I know there are members here on the forum from around the globe. From their posts my understanding is shipping costs from the US are high and it takes awhile for purchased items to arrive.

My son's job will have him globe trotting for the next few years. He will be in France for a few weeks. He half jokingly asked me if I had any O gauge train needs from France. My face lit up.

I know nothing really of what's available there train or accessory wise. Does anyone know of anything that is available there that is not readily available here in the US?

I would love to add pieces from around the world as Jeff Jr. travels. Input of any type would be greatly appreciated.

His near date scheduled trips will be to Germany, Mexico and Italy.

Jeff one of our forum members,Stefan Bürki, lives across the big pond and works for a train Mfg over there. I think it might be worth sn email to him with your questions. He is very technical so would have a good idea for you. He lived in Canada and is a big CN fan. He works at the place that made the"CARGO" ENGINES. hIS EMAIL IS
