What happened to Lionel and Gilbert's Slot tooling?
"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.
Post your non-O scale stuff here!
I am really enjoying this thread on slot cars. I guess it's taking me down memory lane. I enjoy the older HO but the newer larger cars 1/32 or 1/24 are A KICK too. Lots of knowledgeable slot people here AMCDave and crew.

Maytag washers???
It was more than likely scrapped. Tooling was cut from high nickel steel......and if they thought the fad was over......junked. If by chance it was cheaper aluminum tooling....once it wore out....scrapped. Either way gone I am sure.
I used to love my slot car sets. I can't even follow them anymore! Too Old??
...I yielded to my curiosity.. haha Looks like TOMY still owns and produces the AFX brand but franchises out the marketing and distribution. Wish Mattel would do the same with Tyco.

Interesting- but they drive themselves from what I was watching on the video and the cars computer processors control its speed and course of action. The human is not that involved ?
