Upgrading the Williams 4949 Pacific

I have a couple of the Williams 4949 Pacifics. One is 3 rail, one is 2 rail. The gearbox on the 2 rail has been replaced (by me) with a NWSL as the origianl one was pot metal and had started ctracking. The engine sits very high on the frame. Has anyone worked on these engines and found a good source for valve gear and a way to lower the engine on the frame?
