Upturn in General Freight on Glidden Sub?

While watching and following trains from Flatonia to Houston TX, I noticed there was a larger number of general freight vs doubblestacks. Is that true?

On the Smithville Sub, there seems to be an upturn of freight going through La Grange TX, from what I have heard on the scanner.
