Not sure which color. I want to see the item and price. I may buy two. The New Haven had orange hoods and green or black cab and top hoods with script lettering , all orange hoods with block lettering and black or green cab; black hood with orange/red cab with big block NH on the hood. I am sure there are other variations. Must clarify the actual colors from some friends.

didn't pick it up, however look at the underside of the truck thru the clear plexi shelf, looks like the trucks are screwed together, maybe it will be an easy conversion, some one asked Bachmann if they would offer a 2-rail version, their reply was they did not feel their are not enough 2-railers to weren't producing it in 2-rail.

That seems to be the case. Has me thinking about what scale my next layout will be built in. I wish I liked HO more. They sure have a lot of equipment to chose from. Perhaps it is an acquired taste?

As far as this model goes,  I'm sure someone will 2 rail it. My money is on Malcolm

Clarification about the 2-rail question: WBB said the likely number of orders for a 2-rail version would not meet the production minimums set by their builders. So, the minimum quantities aren't necessarily completely within WBB's control.

And while a large proportion of 2-railers could be inclined to buy, that market is a niche inside a niche market (3-rail 'O'), so it's easy to imagine Kader not wanting to bother.

Here's Jack Lynch at the TCA open house. If you jump ahead to 3-1/2 minutes, he not only talks in depth about the upcoming 44-ton switcher, but there are quite a few good shots of the prototype. He says there are dual motors with flywheels, so it sounds like typical Williams construction, and not truck mounted motors.

That opening in the frame for the coupler isn't very big, but Jack states it will run on 027 curves, so lets hope it's not another situation like the initial RMT Beeps, where they derailed everything they pulled on 027 curves until RMT enlarged the opening.

Larry Harrington, GM for WBB, showed me the working prototype and said the loco will have two small motors with fly wheels, one horizontally mounted in each truck. As far as pulling power, he said he has pulled a dozen cars with the loco, and that's pretty what it will handle. It will have LED lighting on both ends, sound, and a crew figure.

Someone did tell me that Andy from MTH said at the DCS dinner that MTH will have one in the next catalog.

That "rumor" has been said several times on this forum for years now. NOw that WBB has a Prototype out and will goto the market this year,  I will buy at least one!  MTH now better put it's $$ where it's mouth is . In the meantime. WBB better step up production and get as many models in a variety of paint schemes out there before MTH comes out with one.
