It's time for WEEKEND PHOTO FUN!!!
Last night the VMT had a volunteer dinner. It is rather rare that anyone is in the museum after 5:00PM so that allowed me to take a few night pictures.
Let's see your pictures.

Here is my contribution.
Scott, nice shots.
Bryan, the field looks wonderful.
Happy weekend!
Since NS painted SD45-2 1700 back into its original road name and colors and released it last week, I thought this would be an appropriate shot. This is EL SD45 3620 and stable mate hammering a road crossing on my layout.

As York approaches, I get nostalgic about PostWar.
Here are 2 more of my New Haven sets. From 56 and 62, respectively. At York, I'll be on the hunt for more PostWar(and modern stuff, too).
The O27 ALCO set is a really great runner.

I did some weathering of the U30C and SD45 and did a photo shoot which you can find on my website at www.toytrainsontracks.com. You can click on the photos on my website and get a larger full scale image. Here are a few photos.
Alex,
OUTSTANDING
Was able to get some good work on the layout this past weekend due to all the rain we had. I'm leaving tomorrow for a NJ & PA business trip & won't be back till the 21, so I wanted to try & get some stuff done before I head out.
I moved the spur for pluming supply to the outside main & raised it a bit to get some different levels going on-
you can see the switch for the new spur. I also moved the signal bridge to that spot, as I felt you couldn't see it much in the back. All this means I had to give up the road crossing there. Without the road, the house had to move as well. I'm going to make an underpass in this spot to add some interest.
his shot shows where the old spur was. With the new room, I was able to expand the town a bit. So I can fit 3-4 buildings & a small hill to place a billboard on in that space. Also moved the signal on main 1 to be located just before the grade crossing now.
running some freight -
Two ex CR EMDs lead an intermodal through town on main 1 - The SD60M arrived this week
The buildings arrived yesterday & I placed them on the board so I can get a feel for what the new scene will look like -
Lorenzo was excited to help -
NS Dash-9 9022 leads westbound 17M through Shawsville on a brisk February afternoon. - 2/21/13
NS Dash-9 9148 leading 14G eastbound on ex Reading rails through Hummelstown PA - 5/10/15
Atlanta - Croxton intermodal 212 motors through Hummelstown behind NS Dash-9 9360 -
NS Dash-9 9580 leading a westbound mixed freight through Wabun, VA on the Christiansburg District - 10/13/12
NS SD40-2 6120 (ex NW 6120) is back on home rails at it leads a westbound light power move through Wabun, VA
NS Dash-8 8361 (ex CR 6130) is on the point of a westbound manifest as it heads through Wabun, VA on the Christiansburg District -

I was just thinking the exact same thing!!
I don't get enthused about the Halloween season much, but I got some visitors to my layout this week, and it appears they aren't leaving. My wife and daughter like to make additions to the layout.
Most recent overall view. If you look closely on the street behind the church, you will see a brown bear to commemorate our daughter almost hitting a bear near our home with her car last week.

Thank you, guys.......Going with Mianne was one of the best decisions I ever made!

Alexm,
Nice JOB! This would make a great how to article for the forum or the magazine for those of us that have never done anything like this.
Alan - Hope you see this.

Bill,
I have seen the Rio Grande heritage unit, but did not know there was a Western Pacific also. Very handsome looking!
Here's a photo of the newest edition to the roster - a Williams Lehigh Valley that Gunrunnerjohn converted to TMCC for us. The sounds are fantastic! Thanks GRJ!

MK.......I grew up in the northeast Bronx......the New Haven line from New Rochelle junction ran just over a mile from my house. Anywhere you needed to go in the central Bronx, you had to pass over/by it.
My dad hailed from Westchester County, Larchmont. Their family home back up on the New Haven 4 track main line. Washboards and jets with McGinnis markings flying by are among my earliest memories.

Patrick, could you e-mail me when you get a chance? (Didn't see yours in your profile.) I wanted to ask you something about one of your scenes. Thanks.
Guys, great shots everyone.
I got one of the recent 3/2 N&W J Class engines. Not too shabby for this basement railfan.
It is raining here in Raleigh NC and I am in my garage running my trains. I like rainy days, perfect excuse to be inside and running trains.
