Is the worm plastic or metal? If its metal, you can sweat solder it to the motor shaft using a micro butane torch. If its plastic, try taking a pair of side cuts and putting some "knurling" on the shaft with them, then tap the worm in place.

Yeap. Soldered it (metal). Lockwelded it. Superglued it. Gave up.
When they made it, the hole was too big. It slides on the shaft loosely. Adding solder doesn't work as the thin motor shaft is smooth. Not much area to grind anything away with. I still tried.
It's those 2 axle NWSL trucks.
Most manufacturer's worm gears won't even come off of the motors with heat.
Mason has had a few additions to his OO gauge collection this week. We visited a local train show yesterday. And he picked up a secondhand Hornby Class 92 electric and a 3 pack of Hornby Express Dairy milk tankers.
As his stock has taken over his bedroom windowsill! I found a reasonably priced display shelf unit from Amazon. Made by a German company specifically for HO/OO with grooves in the shelves.
May have to invest in another one , they do lots of different sizes.
Have a great weekend.

These didn't quite make the weekend but I think Monday is good enough. My big debate between 1:32 and 1:29 was over these cars. I much prefer scale proportions but these 1:29 AML reefers are really nice. RLD Hobbies got pallets for a good price so I ordered 4 on a whim. I'll be ordering at least 4 more. Guess I'll be pulling 1:29 behind my 1:32 Hudson.
