Last night I worked the "Operator" job on the Great Northern Missabe Division. This job consists of copying train orders by phone from the dispatcher, creating the Clearance that authorizes the train to run on the railroad, and preparing switch lists for the local switch jobs (there weren't any local jobs last night).
Back in late March, Bob, the owner of the HO railroad, held a special session celebrating the 50th anniversary of the beginning of taconite service on the Missabe range in 1967). Normally, Bob's sessions are in July, 1958 (last night's session was July 18, 1958, beginning at 4:00PM).

I'm inside rewiring an engine that I stripped to borrow the stuff for another engine way back. Now it's more work than I wanted to do.

Lots of wires there Joe! RUN RUN!
I still had to connect the electric couplers, and the speaker. Still after that, I skipped the smoke unit. My neck and back are killing me!
