Another week has gone by and now once again it is time for Weekend Photo Fun!

Last week we finished getting the track replaced on the upper level of the VMT layout.

Last week I was also able to get a great deal on this dummy engine. I have the Proto3 on preorder.

Let's see your pictures.

Last night, during the monthly business meeting, the National Capital Trackers took delivery of their long awaited 25th Anniversary Caboose, specially done for us by MTH. This is the second custom car MTH has done for us, the first being a Premier 40' Boxcar. This is a beautiful car and I was excited to open mine this morning.

Next custom MTH car will be a Premier Husky Stack car for 2015 and the 2016 club car will be a 8,000 gallon modern tank car. Discussion regarding other cars and possibly an engine is on going. Also distributed were special club lapel pins.

I always loved taking pictures with the evening sun streaming in.  They offer a really nice contrast.

A few pictures of the layout this morning as the sun began to rise....if you right click on a picture and then click on "open link in new window", you can get a full page detailed view...

Some really nice pictures everyone! I need to get to work on the scenery, however some of you are light years ahead.  I'm always in awe.

But first, my next project is to 2 rail this Atlas Fairbanks Morse Erie Built.  Although Santa Fe wasn't thrilled with their purchase, I am.  This model was an early masterpiece of excellent engineering which allowed 3 rail, 3RS, and 2 rail operation.  It was an unrecognized standard.  I should post a review as to why I've come to that conclusion.  I probably will in a few weeks.

Great pictures everyone!  Christopher,  enjoyed the recent article on your fantastic layout.

I took some pictures of the King Street station in Seattle this week, I take the Sounder Train to Seattle from Tacoma on a regular basis.  I also recently acquired the K-Line Sounder passenger cars.

Thanks for the response Alan, they sure look like K-Lines to me so I am not surprised. One of my projects today is to put 10 of these same beauties on the layout. No Cab Forward yet to go with them, but is is coming.

Dave, your Sounders look terrific. Hope you find the engine to go with them real soon.

Howard, this is one beautiful engine. I just love the Erie Built locomotives.

Thank you Brian for the kind words. It is a beautiful car and I think those that ordered it are glad they did. Tracker Mike Fistere headed the project and is also working on the other upcoming club cars. He did a fantastic job.
