As part of its Cornerstone Series, Walthers has offered a team track kit in HO. Since they can be used to load and unload many different commodities, team tracks offer much flexibility in the types of freight cars which can be handled.

Picked up this little N scale layout on the bay. 2ft by 3ft, curves are tight but GP-40s run well on it.

I may turn it in to a back yard rail road scene for our G scale module layout.

Also been messing around with learning to wheather stuff, These 3 1/24th cars are 1st attempt.

I had a little fun showing my neighbor this photo of my N scale abandoned house recently. After spending a good while studying it, he told me what he thought I needed to do to get it in great condition. After awhile I started to smirk a little and that gave him a clue that I was up to something,

I was out of town on a little trip: Left Friday 3:30 PM from eastern OK and headed for Lakeland, MI (near Detroit) to pick up a vintage "enduro" motorcycle (1974 DKW GS125). Got back this afternoon about 4:30 PM.  That's right at 2000 miles.

Since getting home, we've got caught up on things (grocery shopping/etc) and just now sat down at the computer to take a look-see at the HONGZ forum.

I'll be out of town again next week, too. In fact, October will be a busy month... so not much from me on the HONGZ forum may be likely.

HOWEVER... I'll be poppin' in and out here as I can!
