My friend Steve and I are preparing to build a new raised outdoor railway, away from the ravages of doggies and easier on aging backs to enjoy. We are basing the line on the W&L that still operates to this day in Wales, and with the original 2 locomotives originally built in 1902. He has one of them and I have the other, both live steam and built in the mid 1980's by Pearse Locomotive Works in the UK. I also have 2 beautifully built GRS passenger cars, one saloon coach and one composite brake/coach that closely match what the line used in the preservation days. We will model the line as it is today, with a mix of original, reproduction and equipment from abroad. This opens up to using rolling stock from LGB that exactly matches some of the passenger cars, such as the brown Zillertal coaches, the green bogie coaches from Hungry ect. Waiting on the ground along my back fence to dry up so we can start on the shelf type benchwork. So here are a few shots of the engines and coaches. Enjoy! Mike
