SCOTTV, cool video of the tunnel. Looks like the real thing. Well done.

Johan, will the Shark's Bay railroad crew be painting the engine soon.

Today was a productive train day. After spending time to clean out the corner so I could work on it I got the cork glued down. I had just enough glue to do what is seen. Looks like a trip to Menards tomorrow morning is in th works to buy a few bottles of glue. I could have some bottles somewhere in the basement but it will be quicker to go and buy thewm LOL.  What I planned to do is to push loaded coal hoppers into the power station. The track will then curve and go down the table for a bit. The track to the side will be a second mainline route. Maybe after dinner the glue will be dry and I can at least paint the cork tonight................Pics.............Paul 2

Well I have been buried at work, that's a good thing... Finished weathering these 2 cars in the evenings watching the world series.   Trying to get better at weathering wood sided boxcars and gondolas....

It was like Christmas in October today..  opened my "new to me"  GGD  Ogle Coaling Tower which got delivered today....

Have the plans drawn to make the lift bridge attached to the last 90 degree mainline curve then finally I can run trains continuously.

Nice work by everyone, it's been too many days for me to go back and comment on every post since I was here almost 2 weeks ago.

That  Boxcar look very nice! Sorry I haven’t dropped you a line my email is still messed up. You may want to file down the first cross member on the Weaver cars so the cookie cutter wheels will clear that’s what I did I’ll post it later

Lee,  thanks.  I figured there was an email issue, so I didn't keep writing....  I'll look forward to any words of wisdom on lowering the weaver ultra line cars.  I really like the cars, just not ready to start retrofiting them all with Kadees.  Way too many other urgent tasks to get the RR running.

Thanks to all for the kind words on the weathering..  I had read numerous posts on using watercolor pencils to alter the color of individual boards and it definitely works.  It's very easy to control where the color goes as it's a pencil tip... Pretty cool stuff, and if you put it on too heavy it can be 90 % removed and it just leaves a hint of color change.

Nice commuter train, Bob. But 2843 seems to have blinds on the windows... what, may I ask, goes on in there???

Paul- not sure what goes on in these cars but I can say that all of the passengers are firmly glued in their seats.

I’ll post some how to pic later on the on I did. I use a lead pencil for the metal parts gives it a good blue tone. We miss you here hope you can fit some time in this winter

Hi everyone, I just handed out a bunch of likes. Like Chris A. there is just to much for me to comment on everything ag 5:45 in the morning! LOL

I do want to say I really like Lew's dinner train video, also I think that ScottV's tunnel looks great!

Paul 2 is moving right along at amazing speed! It funny what he can get done when he doesn't have to do laundry and train construction at the same time!

Chris , great job on the weathering and your layout is looking great! I hope when you get the bridge finished and your run all the way around you will take a little video!

Jim, the cub scout train is looking great! I hope you wont mind me contacting you for more information. I would really love to do something like that for our Golf Cart Christmas parade.

Brian, as always, wonderful photos! Some great looking engines!

Well I will get some time in the train room today, not sure what I have planned, but will figure it out when I get out there. I was able to order a battery charger for my PS2 engine from Stockyard Express in Ohio. I tell you what a great little place and very friendly people. If you live there I would suggest you pay them a visit.

Well I hope everyone has a great Friday! Please try and find time to enjoy your trains and layout!

hey Mike,  when you stop by to visit,  we can run down to say HI ,

to Clyde at Stockyard Express,  nice guy and a great store !!

You must live close! Sure would be nice to be able to drive to a train store, but the nearest one to me is about 3 hours away!

Lots of great projects here.  I have had trouble keeping up like many have said!

Mike, I have made purchases from Stockyard Express my two trips to York.  I did get some nice prices and they were very friendly.  I do recall several Ohioans like Brian speak well of them and their store.

Bill, I hope you have a great time with your father on the mountain!!

Paul, the track is looking great!

Chris, nice weathering!!  I'm glad you got the Ogle coal tower!

Jim, Great project for the float!  It is looking great!

Yesterday I had some time to switch some trains out on the Ceiling Central Railroad.  Since I won't be climbing up the steps on my little 3-foot collapsible platform for a while, I took down the USRA 0-8-0 and my heavyweight cars and put up the Pacific and my streamline cars.  These Railking cars were done as special projects of the Community Model Railroad club in Frostburg, Maryland, the end of the line for the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad.  They had MTH produce 2 cars a year for the last three years, for their annual fundraiser.  I just received the observation and baggage cars last week.  I took the train slow around the loop once to make sure all was well, and put away the platform.  Just as Mum was coming in from work.

Paul. The SF paint scheme stay. This K-LINE MP15 project was a nice. Added fixed pilots, Kadees, cab interior.... I think it's looking now a much better than earlier.

Johan

Love the Ceiling Central Mark.

The most Mrs. lionelski allows me to have on the main floor is a display cabinet with my Standard gauge trains, my Christmas Tree standard gauge layout and a sign over the basement door that says "To Grandpa's Train Room".

I do have in my main floor office a couple large RR paintings, my RR books and my Davy Crockett collection.

That said the whole basement is MINE (except for the laundry room, and I don't want that anyway)

Chris: Amazing work. Everything looking so good.

Okay, today (November 1) is supposed to be the day that I begin dismantling my lay-out and setting up my Christmas lay-out. But we have two sets of company coming over today with kids who want to see my trains. So construction begins tomorrow.

BUT, I did print up these paper ornaments for Nancy's Disney Christmas:

Yes, you may print them to hang on your Christmas trees.

What a great day on the BRM RR.  My Father arrived on time with breakfast for everyone.  We then relocated to the train building.  I had all the accessory lights on as well as a heater.  Last night's prep work proved to be time well spent.  Everything worked!  Then I powered up the track and handed him the remote for my LC+ Southern 4501.  I had the engine parked out of sight in the steam shop.  As it rolled out, he looked like a kid on Christmas morning.  I operated the switches and smoke fluid.  He coupled up to my Southern passenger cars and had a blast.  He ran for three hours.  My layout made a good impression.  We discussed future additions and exchanged meaning conversation on life in general.  There will be more quality train time soon.  My Father had fun.  My heart is full.

Your layout sounds like it is great. Can you include photos? I am eager to see it.
