Have a great time today Bryan and Paul!! I wish I was up to making the trip!!
Well I thought I would go out to the train room this morning before I get started on all the work I have to do today.
I got a nice gift from Mr. Brown yesterday from a Forum member. It a non powered AC4400 to go behind my AC4400 powered unit. So I thought I would unpack it and take some pictures and run it around the track once. I still have to change it out to Kadee couplers as it doesn't like to stay hooked with the big claw.
Mark, good luck on your outing today! Be Careful!
Brian, great pictures!
Keith, looks like you have a great helper there!
Bryan and Paul, Have fun at breakfast and no food fights! Also I hope you enjoy the visit to one of your group members layout!
Everyone have a great Saturday!

They look great together Mike
Mark Boyce posted:I’m like Mike today, lots of great projects everyone. I ran the Western Maryland Scenic passenger train a few minutes yesterday like a couple days ago. Lew, it was deja vu all over again, so check the photograph I posted then. LOL
Im going with our older daughter and son-in-law today for them to get a few things from my parents’ house. I have only been out of the house for Hospital and PT for 3 weeks, so we will see how I do. I only plan to unlock and be there as an advisor. Closing is supposed to be early December. If I’m too whipped I’ll stay home from church another Sunday.
Have a great day everyone!
We're all pulling for you, Mark!
GREAT LOOKING, MIKE !!
HAVE A GREAT DAY !!

Mike, the AC440 looks great lashed up! Thank you, I’ll be careful!
I sure would have liked to see Nick’s layout with Bryan, Paul, and all, but I can visit next year.
Thank you, Vincent and everyone!
The big day is here. We marched this morning in the Mt Clemens Santa Parade. Here is a short video of us in the staging area.
We had almost 50 scouts from Pack 149 march. It as a great event.

EGGCELLENT!
Mike g, nice looking engines. I like that paint scheme.
Jim, the engine project came out great. Good to see you had a good turnout from the troop.
Mark, it was a good outing. 4 of us showed up but the layout visit was outstanding. One heck of a great layout.
GANDYDANCER, enjoyed the video.
Johan, once again you outdid yourself. Well done.
Today Bryan and I car pooled to our NE morning breakfast and then a viewing of Nick's layout. Pics are one thing but seeing it in person blows the mind. He has put together a fine running and great looking layout in a short period of time. When We got back to my place there was a package on the doorstep waiting for me. Bryan was very kind and went and got it for me. I was watching him like a hawk though when he did that to make sure he brought it into the kitchen and not the trunk of his car LOL. I showed him what I had done so far on my module and after he told me he would not be able to do any work on his till Monday I knew I now had a window of opportunity to get ahead of him. So shortly I will be working on it. In the package was another bunch of vehicles from DieCast Direct. Pics..........Paul 2

Nice consist Mike! Is all of your rolling stock and engines "Kadee'ed"?

Well on the Waxhaw Divusion, I managed to set, level and align the second bridge on the upper level brabch line. In this town Area, the station building, the woodland scemics model serves as the depot on this track.
Have the track aligned and roadbed in place. Tommorrow I will screw down the tracks in this area and think abou, maybe actually run power leads to this area.

Paul. Thank you. I try to added a more green around the layout.

Jim, looks like the float and participation was a success!
johan, great looking car and scene.
Paul, I’m glad you fellows had a great time! I’ll get over to see Nick’s layout sometime. Nice die casts!
The trip to my parents’ was a success. The hardest part for me was riding 20 minutes each way. My son-in-law’s parents brought their van too, so the three old folks sat in the living room while the two young couples moved and loaded stuff. His dad had knee replacement 4 days before mine, so we compared notes. LOL

It is taking shape,, Paul! I like the terrain profile
Ok Paul got to admit that is really coming along, nice job Buddy.
Hope he reads this but a HUGE thank you to Nick (Rockstars) for hosting our group. He has an outstanding layout and I got so many ideas from his layout. Loved the speakers and subwoofer under the layout with such authentic sounds made you really feel like you were in the scene.
Sounds great, Bryan!!

Nice looking bridge!! Who is it made it and what part number is it??
Yes it is a nice bridge It is well detailed both above and below. The Bridge is by MTH Railking. It is their cat no. 40-1031. They call it a steel arch bridge. It is about 30 inches long and comes with 3 support piers. One of the piers has a circuit board to accept a connection from a lamp on the bridge which I think is supposed to flash. That pier has a pair of wires to make an electrical connection. I bought this at a train show in Charlotte NC about 8 years ago. It was missing a support pier.
The MTH RTR catalog seems to show this bridge and there have been several cat numbers over the years. I suspect the difference is in the colors, whether or not the third support pier is in the package and whether it has the flashing light.
^^^^^ Thank you!!
Morning Guys, Its 3:25 AM here and its the only way I can get caught up with all the post here! LOL
Brian, Thank you! Love the close up, nice shot!
Jim, Looks like you had a great group of scouts! WOW 50, when I was a kid in scouts there were maybe 8 or 9 of us! LOL The engine looks wonderful and the whistle and smoke are a perfect touch! Nicely done!
Johan, great looking lumber car and your lumber yard/storage build is very cool!
Paul 2, I am glad you and Bryan had a great day and you got to see a wonderful layout! It sure was nice of Bryan to carry your package in for you, but then again he probably thought it was a nice jester for an older friend. The diecast vehicles looks great, what are you going to put on the flatbed trucks? Your Module is coming right along, looks like you might be passing Bryan! LOL
Dave, Thank you. I would have to say that 70% of all my rolling stock is kadee and 50% of my engines. That is because I have gotten some new to me engines and that I also have to order more Kadee's. I really like the looks of them and have less problems of them coming apart!
Lirr, wonderful looking bridge! I sure hope its going somewhere!
Mark, I am glad you made it there and back safely! I bet it was nice to compare notes with someone! LOL I know you probably felt guilty watching the kids move and load all that stuff, but remember they are YOUNG! LOL
Bob, WOW thats quite an undertaking, good luck! It sure is going to be a sharp looking train when your done!
I would like to thank everyone that commented on the new engine to me, its going to take a little bit to put kadee's on it and while I have it apart I might give it a fixed piolet! Its Sunday and there is nothing for me to do this morning so I think I will get some train time before the Seahawks game! Then the HVAC guys is coming back as he didn't get much done yesterday.
Well I hope everyone has a great day and your teams do well except the BROWNS! LOL

Brian, wonderful Phots! Sorry I missed your call last night I was working in the yard, and when I was done I was beat and just went to bed!
Technically, this happened yesterday and it's not on my layout (but could be on a future layout). 👍
I purchased my first real G Scale train (not the plastic toy kits sold in mainline stores) at my SFRM model train club's train show yesterday.
It's an LGB starter set along with 16 pieces of 24-inch straights and I putzed around with it on the back porch & grass yesterday. I can see myself going down that rabbit hole of trains in the backyard real quick. 🤣

Thanks for the comments about the float. We had a great time and it was a good experience for the scouts. I can't wait for next year, as I have a new idea for the build.

Kevin- don't think rabbit hole......think tunnel
I could see myself doing the same one day.

Kevin, you should talk to Larry Sr. He has a nice garden railway in his yard that he did a couple years ago! It looks really nice!
Jim, let me guess your going to build a couple passenger cars for the scouts to ride in behind the engine!
Bob, go for it! I already have a plan to run my o scale out around the wife's rock garden! about 60' ore of track!
mike g. posted:Jim, let me guess your going to build a couple passenger cars for the scouts to ride in behind the engine!
Nope. Actually nothing train related.

Oh yes, that rabbit hole is deep. Once you're in, there's a challenge getting out. But what fun it is while you are down there. I bought my first LGB starter set in 1991. Gave up my Lionel and for the next twenty-five years played trains in the garden. Got back into Lionel in 2015 and am still waiting to build my dream layout. Oh, I still have my garden railway but it is more garden and less trains nowadays.
Unlike others who model main line railroads in the garden, I am among the group of a more whimsical nature, but still believable.
If you're in the Southeastern PA area, drop me a line, we'd love to have you visit. But wait until the weather is warm again.....LOL

Mike. Thank you Sir. Looks like that you have there some BNSF -stuff. My friend Hannu visit a couple weeks ago in Stevens Pass and take some videos there. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzl5BtDWFlc Hope you like it. Hannu has built now over 15 years he's H0 -Great Northern layout.

Jim, I’m glad the float and participation went well! I agree with Mike, in Cub Scouts we may have had 30 boys and 20 in Boy Scouts.
Kevin, the LGB set looks great! Yes I can see where it could become a rabbit hole, no a mighty tunnel!
Today I watched my layout video from Christmas 2015.
