He has a very special way of telling his story with his wife Doreen.

This video will give you some ideas of what he is up too.

I would recommend this video, He shows us how track warrant control works from in side a full scale locomotive. Very cool.

Well he JUST got married but hasn't posted here in over a year, Feb 2016 was his last post. He still makes videos on a regular basis on a new HO layout he is building. Yet I don't see his banner up at the top any more.

He's just listed as a MEMBER, not a subscriber, advertiser or forum sponsor. His last visit was back in Dec but hasn't posted a thing in over a year. He posts almost daily on social media....Guess he's just too busy for ogr.

I've seen it happen before......Malcom Furlow was my favorite in the 80's. He did fantastic work and then one day....bang...left the hobby.  Happens in the model car hobby to. One of the best known builders, won every contest in sight, covered in every magazine....then...same thing. Left the hobby and never looked back.

Hope to see Joey back here again some time.

I totally get that. Life is short and there are many great activities to sample. Just because somebody embraces a particular avocation with passion and skill doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't move on.

In my case, the pattern is a little different. My passions go in waves. I have half a dozen lifelong interests, each of which eventually wanes--often for years. But they always seem to resurface eventually. My list includes trains, antique cars and motorcycles, caves and caving, RVing, and writing. At the moment, I am building an automated pipe organ out of PVC pipe! It may end up as part of a complete orchestrion (if I live long enough).

Hi all! I just now saw this thread.

I am alive and well and as others have mentioned we are going full steam with a lot of projects, videos and ummmm... wedding lol. As you know, it's the modeling time of the year and we have been busy with Trackside Scenery and our printing and graphics business as well. I do miss all you guys and hope I can get on here more often. We keep in touch with Allan Miller and some of the guys via Facebook.

Andy, that's Joey Rickard lol...................with a "K"

Although we are working on a smaller than "O" display layout now, I have been looking into doing an "O" gauge layout for the next project. If all goes well.....(knock on wood), I will have at my disposal a huge space for an O gauge layout. Doing a super detailed O layout has always been my dream, so we shall see.

Anyway, thanks for asking about me. I much appreciate it and love being a part of the O Gauge Railroad family.
