Worth getting the legacy system now or waiting?

No and No.  LCS is the next extension of Legacy.

Don't wait obtain as soon as possible!

There is nothing to be gained by waiting.

Get 'em while you can! As MartyE says, I think LCS is the next new development. I would guess an upgrade to the Legacy 990's is a long way off, if it ever happens. If there is ever another software/firmware upgrade you can download and install it when available. 

Get your 990 NOW. Waiting means you will be left out of this production batch.  There is no reason I can think of for waiting.

Your other option is to buy the Cab 1L.

Get it now before it sells out again for months and months (if not years) to come. I had been waiting a very long time for the 990 to become available again (I waited the last time). I never expected the system to every sell out but it did.

Get it while you can! You are missing out on the added fun of model railroading.

It's been said before, but get it. If there are problems, you'll have to wait for update repair,  then. But if you don't get it now, you'll be waiting anyway.

Don't Wait.  Get one now.  I recieved the 990 and 993 today from Nassau Hobby Center tested both and they work great.  Also recieved the WiFi module and that works great as well. 

Maybe I'm overly cautious, but I would wait. 

I've never had more fun operating trains than with Legacy.  Don't wait; buy it now!

I think you should wait,especially if you have Legacy Locos that way you wont be able to enjoy the enhanced performance that it provides.

I would get it now. I was lucky enough to get a spare that I use for portable layouts/shows before they were out this past time. I would avoid waiting...

I have a relatively small layout with Super O track. With the Legacy I have taken out all the uncouplers on the sidings. Powering up the different sidings and running the different engines is really fun.

I didn't wait and I am glad.

Don't wait , get it now!!! You won't be disappointed, believe me. I have been involved from the Start. (Had one of their first units out). Was a BETA Tester for V1.3

Get it now!  I'm picking up my second system this weekend.

Most of this is currently available, I think it's called LCS.

With everything that is going on in the world I would buy it now and enjoy it now, before who knows what is going to happen. Go for it!

Wait until 2036.Rumor has it it will be equipped with a charger that works and a pizza oven.

.......but that one probably won't ship until late 2037, or 2038.

If you want the Legacy system (it's a darn fine one), I certainly would recommend that you buy it NOW!  No reason to delay.
