Believe it or not Diecast Direct just offered that exact car.  $89.00 , I ordered one.. Buick had the same design that year too.. Not sure about Olds, and Pontiac.  Never seen any.  I had a buddy that did have the Buick.  what a monster, a person could actually live in those cars.  The interior was even larger than the Hudson 4DR Sedan of the same year...

Ted, I noticed the offering on the DD website...nice quality.  I'm pretty sure my Dad had the Pontiac version in what I call a silver blue color. As a little guy then, I recall the brand insignia on the hood.  I later became familiar with the "Chief" insignia as Pontiac.  Without ever thinking about it until now, that car may have been the beginning of my likeness for 'sharp' cars...lol.

Paul, what I've always found fascinating about the cars of the late 40s is the many different models each brand offered.   We had a 49 Buick straight 8, Roadmaster.. another tank on rubber tires.  But what a smooth ride'... and great passing power on the interstate...

You know guys coming to this tread is kind of like a double edge Soward!

I really love all the cars and stories you all have been posting, between the old cadies to the vets and to the newer stuff Joe puts up here! I could put them all on my layout and be just fine with it! LOL

Now the bad part is I am so jealous that you are all having fun and all I can do is sit here reading and watching while I wait for the house to sell!

I know Ted your going to say I can do something, but I can't as everything is packed up ready to move and the CEO would kill me if I bought something new before we move! At least were looking for a house with a basement for a new train room!

Thanks guys, I would get a small kit, but that would be one more thing I have to worry about hiding when someone wants to come for a showing. I already have to catch the cats, dog, and make sure the place is staged back the way the relator has it set up.

To be honest there is no way anyone could live in a staged house! LOL
