@Guttersnipe,   If I get back to Huron before we leave SD, I'd be happy to get some pics.  I guess it's an EMD model ?  The yard had 2 gutted SD40-2's to cut up also, perhaps they'll be first to get the torch.  (OGR) Curt in SD does excellent photography, perhaps he'll swing thru Huron sometime & visit Barti Metal Recycling,  Jeff is the office guy to grant yard access.

Saw these on the forum before and bought them on the eBay/Hobbyspeed account. ------Lionel boxcars.

Dabbed some paint on the roof walkways,  the ladders and rungs and gave the trucks a little to bring out detail.    Still have to adjust the height of a couple couplers to get them correct.

Dallas what do you do to adjust coupler height?  I've got some o-27 streamliners that I'dlike to adjust to get them all to line up.

I got a really good deal on some scale Chessie cars from Trainz earlier…I swear I need a frequent flyer card from them!

I also ordered a henway. It’ll be here tomorrow.

Nice, but having been dubbed they youngest dirty old man in captivity, some fifty years ago, in High school, would love to see more of the second car.

I just replaced the couplers with the MTH articulated style couplers.

Are your streamliner 0-27 couplers like the one below ?

On an early post, someone showed a picture of US Post Office Railroad Station stamps.  Sin ce I enjoy collecting railroad things, I ordered the stamps from the USPO.  At the same time, I ordered the first Day covedr.  See below picture of what I received.  Nice job USPO

I saw an ad for this somewhere, I forget. Doesn't matter, as 'cool' as I might think this is, it's one of the goofiest impulse buys I have ever done...

It's called an Impact Train Horn. It's a cordless driver, in this case, I got DeWalt to go along with my set of MAX20 tools, but there are many types. Very loud and obnoxious, I would probably get arrested if I set it off in the backyard. Maybe New Year's Eve, or Fourth of July.

This week, I picked up these two Atlas BNSF Berwicks from a friend. I'm glad Atlas just cataloged more of these because they are one of the nicest pieces of rolling stock ever made in O-Scale.

Amen to that.  Atlas O is quite literally why I am still into O scale.  Although I think the crown jewels may go to the Trinity 5161 cu.ft. hoppers or the Maxi-IV intermodals...

Did you get those passenger car couplers to match up ?       I only have MTH passenger cars.   Did you have any close up photos of your Lionel couplers ?

All 5 of those couplers I showed were just boxcar couplers.

Not sure how this keeps happening, but another nyc Hudson with some freight cars showed up at my door step. 🤔. I may have a problem. The engine is the MTH 5344 conventional I gave some tlc to. Along with some MTH flat cars and caboose. Nice and smooth!

We'd stage an intervention, for you, but we are as bad as you are I'd say those were 1949 models, my family had one,  It could outrun anything, but a gas station. Still loved the carm and still drive Buick convertibles

Where do you find a Buick convertible today???  I'm also a convertibles lover, I had new a 64 Pontiac GTO convertible and later a 1970 Mustang convertible and much later a 2015 Mecedes convertible.  Today, I'm looking for a notherconvertible to drive around during the summer.  And to keep it train related, I just picked up that C&O Flat car eith Buick roadmaster cars. 

My 67 Wildcat I bought in 69, she is a survivor car with four hundred thousand plus miles,  I lost my '62 special forty years ago in a divorce.  I've had two wife's, but I still have my Buick

My wife’s car is a 2013 Chrysler 200 Touring convertible. She bought it new in January of 2014. Still running well.

Bought another one of these.  I was so blown away by this car after it was unpacked, decided not to paint this brand new car.  Instead, it will be the observation car in a fantasy excursion train.  Later today I'll take photos of the car and post them in a separate thread to showcase its uniqueness among LIONEL 15" aluminum pax cars--it really is quite unique.

Still needed one to paint as a prototype UP car acquired from Milwaukee Road and one showed up through an ebay saved search earlier today.  Problem is that it's NEW just like the previous one.  This UP project won't get started for a while, so the search for a used example will continue while this one will be a reserve.

PS:  Thanks to all who post here; it's one of my favorite serial threads and the source of new (at least to me) and interesting information and excellent photos.

A York buy, the Lionel Legacy F40PH Panama Canal from METCA. Love the livery colors, so I'm thinking I'll add the KCS to my collection.

Oh no, Joe… absolutely impossible!!! After several decades of familiarity, I and my voices are ALWAYS completely in sync. Obviously, Donnie is still trying to fight the voices - as the saying goes, “resistance is futile” - so the voices must make the most fortuitous decisions.

As for my friend and fellow slippery slider, Bob @RSJB18, I must politely disagree. Forgetting about a pre-order doesn’t count (e.g. my recent surprise delivery of a beautiful METCA Pennsy Union Line boxcar). A preorder speaks to a conscious decision made in direct consultation with your personal voices to make a purchase - forgetting about it is just a function of delayed shipping and aging memory. Since Donnie ain’t old enough, he really needs to come to terms with his voices Do you have any idea how many beautiful NYC Hudsons are out there???
