We just got 3 of cab 2015 in our store
Matt, is one of them coming home with you?
Well, I have one Lionel in GE, 2 in CP, 1 MTH in GE Hybrid and 2 in regular GE demo. Not sure I need a 7th ES44ac in GE. Im even less sure i want a 7th one
yea, probably no need for a seventh. But there is indeed that "want" factor to deal with. Be strong...
I dont even want it, I was thinking the other day how I dont really want some of the ones I have

Matt,
If that is the way it is, You can ship one to Butler, Pennsylvania. I'll even pay postage.
Mark, make me an offer, Ive got a brand new GE Demo AC6000 thats been displayed, make me a reasonable offer. Got a few GE Demos with flashing lights too that Id let go too

Sacrilege!!!!
Well folks- I recently won an online auction from a trusted company for a very desired (by me ) MTH Siemens- Westinghouse schnabel car!!!! 2 days later ( today ) I get an email stating they can't find the product so they've refunded my money - boooo hissss boooooo!!!!! So I purchased and lost something cool
Naw, for me, its just not special anymore, you might as well paint GE on a rock with flashing green lights. How many fantasy locos do i need to have
I here ya. I have another ES44 on order and thinking no mas after this one! We need some new tooling!
Do some of the UP specialty tribute schemes like the 7400 in the Breast Cancer Awareness scheme or the Boy Scouts Scheme. An Olympic Torch SD70M would be pretty cool. Im only buying models of actual locos from now on.
I love STD GA tinplate, so much charm
Haven't bought much modern Marx Trains the past few years, I have tons already. I did pick up this 7396 KCS Flatcar with tractors this week.

I'd expect another one to be found, and paid for by the party that "lost it", if it was readily had on the market. Price be d#$%^%$, they can bid another on another site for it if they have to; because somehow "lost" doesn't sound like it should be the buyers problem from any "trusted auction". It isn't a store with set price tags, & stock that comes and goes, "sorry out of stock". It's a single "valuable" item you bid on fairly, and it could easily cost you double next time.
I'd settle quietly at 125% of the winning bid. I.e., the price of a "good discount" at a retail store's sale, and it is just good faith at 25% . In comparison by law here, a scanner mistake cost a store 5x the mistake if you catch it before you leave (still?). Any "noise" by you, is likely gonna cost more in the long run, so they should bite the bullet for 25%, and your not "out of hand" asking in a "professional manner". I'd add "regardless of policy" to my request, and "in my experience, and this is basically an "unacceptable outcome"".
Yep, about 25% without much fuss; that would keep me calling them a "trusted site"
Just curious what price this Westinghouse Schnabel car was priced? Sometimes things happen. Sorry.
Got it for 120 plus shipping but it's been 3 years since I've seen one for sale

Allow me to ponder that. I just sold 3 engines, but am waiting to complete the transactions. Though I normally don't buy contemporary engines, I have two friends who work at GE, one in Erie, and the other at Grove City, Pa, where they make the prime movers. Therefore I do have a soft spot for the demos, Evos.
I have this car I believe, was it one of the first Schnabel Cars offered by MTH? Either way, I would be willing to give it a new home. I do not charge fee's, just fair pricing and great packing and hopefully customer Satisfaction....WOW... Lets Play...
Bought 3 lots of Fastrack on ebay for just under $800 that included roughly $2500 of track so we can build out something more than an oval on a rectangular board. Had purchased mostly new track leading up to this, but stuff purchased looks great and includes 110 pieces of wider curves (had all O-36 now have O-48, O-60 and some O-72) and 14 more switches with 10 being remote control (O-60 and O-72), 100 pieces of straight track (30" and 10" - 120 feet) plus other misc pieces like short straights, blocks, terminals, bumpers, half curves. Had a 15 x 6 foot oval with side and inside passing tracks and small yard using all O-36 manual switches, independent figure 8 inside the oval and length of table bumper to bumper trolley. Now hoping to put together something more substantial around the wall in the basement over the summer. Not sure what, but we have the track! Pretty cool purchase for our family - everyone is excited to expand.
Found these at a local estate sale for $30 each this morning. The Southern lantern will go nice with the RF&P and PRR we already have. The O Winston Link goes well with the other one in the train room and has a real nice frame.
I found this monster yesterday. One step closer to a good group of late 1970's /early 80's cars that are not all sports cars or convertibles.
Party on.
Silver Lake, does that model come equipped with a twizzlers dispenser?

It could play Queen songs if you set it on top of your iPod that was playing Queen songs.

Hats off to Larry! It is nice to know you two and Larry are Christians. So am I.
yeah, but not trains!! Got a vintage 1940s navy and white print rayon two piece dress and nine vintage 1940s and early 1950s hats. I modeled for Tom the rayon two piece dress with one of the hats, he said it was the most darling thing he'd ever seen.
Douglas,
That is a really sharp looking coaling tower and great engines and caboose. Rosco didn't waste any time claiming a new bed. I'm glad he is happy too!
Hi all,
I got the two Lionel tank cars shown below back in March or so via early order through Charles Ro. I just love them. They are part of my modeling efforts of the contemporary Norfolk Southern line in Ayer, Mass. The only drawback is that they seem to tip over a lot when going over my MTH switches. They usually drag and spark a bit before I can stop the engine. What a mess it's made of the track and wheels. It's a good thing I bought a Kinsmart Fire and Rescue emergency vehicle at CVS.
Friday after work I went to Mr. Ro's in person. Sadly, I missed out on the Steel City Beer and Heinz Katsup reefers they listed for sale -- maybe one of you got lucky and are enjoying them? My plan was to combine the two boxcars with a switcher to model my other time and place -- intermodal railroad-barge operations in the greater Pittsburgh area. Only the 1991-2 Lionel 44-Ton Switcher was available when I called that AM. As others have pointed out here in previous posts, the model is 'way out of proportion and more like an 80-tonner. But boy can that thing move! It just flies around my track so fast that I don't dare move the transformer dial beyond half way for fear that it will become airborne! So, the size is obnoxious (as is the placement of the handrails and the steps that go nowhere), but the model makes up for it in play value. I love the simplicity of the electronics, too.
As a consolation prize for missing out on the reefers, I got a new Pan Am boxcar. It's so new that the salesman had to search for it a bit. A Pan Am car has been on my wish list, and it does not disappointment when hauled behind my NS SD70ACe. I'm debating getting some graffiti decals to mimic the prototype.
And lastly, to celebrate a successful but challenging elder care effort, I found an inexpensive Bachman N scale Santa Fe set online at Wal-Mart, and decided to give it a try -- just a little something for the dining room table. I won't be converting anytime soon, it was just for fun. When it arrives, I'll mosey on over to the HONGZ page if I have something to share.
Happy Sunday!
Tomlinson Run Railroad
As a matter of fact, yes I did. Happened to spot this nice 4 car set of K-Line B&O 60' cars with passengers on the Forum for sale. We have a pair of Lionel B&O Sharks that are packed away so I elected to run an "Ohio Train" for today's open house at the club. Our Atlas GM&O's fit the bill for motive power with 'Ohio" being the common denominator!
