Can't send PM

Possible the other member has since disabled PM's?

Is there an email address to try?

Who were you trying to PM? I need to know who the receiving member is to troubleshoot this.

So this is strange.  I was trying to PM @Mark V. Spadaro.  Even now I can not initiate with him.  But he can send me PMs and I can reply to what he initiates.

Thanks also to @John H, @Bill Grafmiller and @gunrunnerjohn for testing with me.  They all worked.

• Cleared the cache and cookies in your current browser?

Nada.  I mowed 3.5 acres of lawn and burned my burn pile.  I'll give those things a try though.

Well Rich... Was going to send you a PM.  But the problem continues with you as well.  @hokie71 sent me a PM.  I deleted it and tried a brand new one and did not get the error message.  I can also send a PM to @gunrunnerjohn, @John H, @Bill Grafmiller and @RSJB18.   I did not actually hit send so I would not bother them, but I do not receive the restricted message.

So far, I can't send PM's to Mark V. Spadaro, OGR CEO-Publisher, Rich Melvin, Alan H, leavingtracks, Bob Walker, and Bob Delbridge.  I stopped and figured that was enough names.

Problem exists with Motorola Android 12, Windows 11 Home using MS Edge and Google Chrome and IOS 12.5.7 using Safari.  On all devices I cleared my browsing history and re-booted.

I have alerted Crowdstack Tech Support on this.

OK, after a consultation with Crowdstack Tech Support, I know what's wrong.

You cannot send PM's to the people in that list because ALL of those folks have Private Messaging turned off, including Mark Spadaro. If Mark sends you messages, he may not realize he has the PM feature turned off in his profile.

That setting is in your profile under YOUR SETTINGS > PRIVACY SETTINGS.

Email Mark and let him know this.

Thanks, Rich, and GRJ. Was unaware of this setting, and have never even seen it, as far as I remember. I switched it to on, so I can receive PMs.

When I sign up for a new website, I typically review all the settings in my profile to see if things like that are lurking where I don't see them.
