"HONGZ" stands for HO scale, N scale, G scale, and Z scale.

Post your non-O scale stuff here!

As some may know, I have a very strong interest in the work of HO Pioneer George Stock.  My journey into learning more about George and his company started with a random GG1 find at a local swap meet in 1995.  For those that do not know, George Stock started offering HO equipment in 1930 which predates all other manufacturers of US made HO equipment.  I have been blessed over the years to obtain three GG1s of which one is an unbuilt kit in the original box.

Most recently, I ran across and was able to purchase one of his catalogs.  This one is catalog number 9 and is dated May 1st, 1941.  Having never seen one of George's steam locomotives, this catalog gives me a better idea of what to look for.  In total it is 16 pages and lists lots of parts and accessory items in addition to his full locomotive kits.  While I have been downsizing my collection of paper, this is a must have for my collecting interests and I hope to find more!

Note how all the items are typical of pre-war HO being 6 volt and also the options for enhanced gear ratios for a slightly higher price.  Looking at the prices, these were not cheap for their time, but they do represent the state of the art for the era.
