Hi all.  Have an odd issue with a few of my Legacy engines are assigned to TR-0 (Train Zero) and I can't get them deleted.

The Legacy remote says no engines assigned to TR-0 but when I address TR-0 and turn the red knob some engines move.

I have deleted TR-0 and even tho the Legacy remote says no engines assigned, there are.

I have tried reprogramming those engines to different IDs, then programming them back to their original ID and still TR-0 controls them.

This is just a few engines, the rest of the Legacy engines are ok and sit quiet until I address them specifically.

Any ideas?

Thanks!!

I think BigDodgeTrain is at least half way right.   I do not know if Legacy differs in this, but in TMCC, train 0 is used as the default for 'not in a train' and is not useable.

I don not know if train 99 would cause any problems.  I imagine within the remote's programing it actually goes up to train 127, as it would take more programing to limit it to 99 than just to leave the addresses there that you can not access with two digits.

Then again I could just be blowing air out my rear here, as I am not particularly familiar with Legacy. Only have first hand knowledge of TMCC.

Elliot, I'll trust you on the ENG 0.  For the trains, however, using TR 0 will set an engine to single unit, forward direction no matter what other settings you try to give it.  As per the TMCC instructions, TR 0 is used to remove it from a train.

GRJ, that seems like an odd "feature" to have an option for all engines.  it is what it is.

To add to the above, TMCC does have the option of 'single unit, reverse starting direction' but as far as I can tell it is only accessible if using a computer to control the TMCC base.  I couldn't find any way to program it from the CAB1.

GRJ, I can see it being occasionally useful, but I think I'd rather have an 'all engines that are currently moving' button.
