Hi guys, I am trying to decide what/who's track to use for my G scale layout. I have had Aristocraft stainless steel track and sold it because it looked to bulky. Then I bought Gargraves stainless steel track and now I can't get switches for it. I thought about just going with brass but I don't want to have to clean it every time I want to run a train or two. Then there's aluminum but I don't know if there are any switches for it either. Any and all suggestions would be helpful.

Aristo-Craft stainless...I've been using it outdoors for 12 years now with no issues.
Aristo-Craft brass. I don't care what the track is made from it's still going to get dirty.
Is your layout outdoor or indoor?
I have a mixture of LGB, Aristocraft, Lionel and Bachmann. I would recommend LGB, Aristocraft for outdoor. Lionel work ok indoors.
Most people I have seen used LGB but don't know much about LGB's new owners. You might also try USA Trains (Charles Ro) track it is similar to Aristo's.
I have Aristo and LGB code 332 brass. In my opinion it does look "bulky" when viewed at near eye level on tables and modules at the train shows, especially unballasted. But On the ground outside sunk into ballast it looks much better. Go battery and you won't need to worry about cleaning.
I use 100% LGB track, it weathers nicely. A friend has a mix of LGB and Aristo and the Aristo doesn't weather as nice and the ties have become brittle after only a few years outdoors. My LGB has been out for nearly 15 years without any major issues.
l use a mix of LGB, Aristo & USA code 332 Brass rail, both new and well used track.

Like Artfull Dodger, I have a mixture of LGB & Aristocraft. I like working with LGB more than Aristo. By all means, buy LGB or Piko switch tracks. I have read too many stories of issues with Aristocraft switch tracks.
