IMPROVED TMCC PERFORMANCE?

Here's an interesting question for the technically oriented among us to debate: Since the signal propogated by the layout track is 455KHz which is just below the AM band, would TMCC perform better with a ferrite rod antenna tuned to 455KHz mounted in the loco?

Makes sense, I wonder if it's possible to have too much signal? I know there is some sort of AGC on the RxLC, just don't know what signal amplitude range it can handle. A 1/4 wavelength straight wire antenna is a bit too large at 538.86 feet, so it would have to be something a bit smaller.
