So true.

I was just thinking about that the other day.... its close to September now ... could another Christmas go by without them?

Great news for Lionel, their dealers ... and especially for people that love to play with trains, whether just around the tree or on big layouts.

Its starting to feel a little bit like Christmas.

(If the "Build To Order" Heavy Mikados really ship next month, it will really start feeling like Christmas.

Not really, John.    I'm only waiting on a basic O-scale boxcar approaching 3 years since it's been catalog'd.  Aside from that boxcar, a Daylight CF and PE Berk, my eyes are now pretty much focused on a few select Standard Gauge items, which have thus far been arriving on schedule -- much to my wallet's dismay!!!    I can actually use a few shipping delays to be quite honest.

I'm sure we'll be hearing plenty from folks waiting on Lionel aluminum passenger car sets.    But I'm thrilled to hear folks who've been waiting for 990 kits will finally have a chance to experience Legacy -- not to mention these shipments should put a halt to the crazy price-gouging that's been part of eBay for months now.  Definitely not one of the finer moments in our corner of the hobby world.

Only I don't have my VL BB yet!  But I'll believe it when the 990 is in my hands.  As long as it's here before the BB, I'll be happy as the BB is my 1st Legacy locomotive.  I have 3 TMCC locomotives and the rest are conventional.  Now, any news on the matching BB reefers and caboose?

I'm happy he approves! I feel much better now.  I should have also added above that I would bet Lionel is happier than the squirrel (or at least as happy).

Hopefully the squirrel will continue to post here and not leave us after his work has finished.

This is good news. Now all I have to do is wait three or four months to see if there are any recalls or firmware issues to deal with. Then I can decide if I want to get a Legacy system or not. My roster of Legacy locomotives is up to four (two steam, one electric and one diesel), but only the two steamers get much use. At least if I make the decision to buy a Legacy for my layout, I'll be able to get a new one with a warranty. And thanks to Mike Reagan, a Lionel warranty actually means something, which it didn't used to.

Ah winter and hibernation commeth.

Or the complainers that complain about the folks who complain about the complainers.

Looking fwd to getting the 990.

The thread I started on the legacy forum has had almost 7000 views, so there seems to be keen interest in this subject.
